My Lords, I ask entrust to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper. The Concern was as follows: To ask Her Greatness’s Federal government for what function our depictive voted in favour of the recent resolution of the Protection Council in condemnation of Israel on the Lebanon problem.

My Lords, we voted for the Security Council resolution because nonetheless provocative various events might have been upon the Israel/Lebanon Boundary, current Israeli actions showed up to have exceeded the right of self-defence.

My Lords, would certainly the honorable Baroness not concur that the power of the Safety Council to control these disgraceful tasks amounts to zero, which for that reason any type of retaliatory activity which may be taken by the Israeli Government in self-defence is perhaps excusable?
